Enrichment
Enrichment at Salterhebble
At Salterhebble, we believe that education is about much more than academic success. We are committed to providing a rich range of opportunities that help every child discover their talents, develop confidence and build the knowledge, skills and character needed to thrive both in school and beyond.
Our enrichment programme is designed to complement classroom learning and ensure that all children have access to meaningful experiences that broaden horizons, inspire ambition and promote personal development.
Our Enrichment Offer
We provide a wide variety of opportunities across the five key areas identified within the DfE Enrichment Framework:
Arts and Culture
Children participate in music, art, drama, performances, visits and creative projects that develop imagination, self-expression and cultural awareness.
Sport and Physical Activity
Through PE, clubs, competitions and outdoor activities, children develop teamwork, resilience, leadership and healthy lifestyles.
Nature, Outdoors and Adventure
From our outdoor learning spaces and Earth to Mouth project to educational visits and environmental initiatives, children develop a connection with nature and an understanding of sustainability.
Civic Engagement
Children learn about helping others through charity fundraising, community partnerships, pupil leadership roles and opportunities to make a positive difference.
Life Skills and Future Readiness
Through leadership opportunities, enterprise activities, problem-solving challenges and personal development experiences, children build confidence, independence and essential life skills.
Why Enrichment Matters
High-quality enrichment helps children develop confidence, resilience, communication skills, creativity and a sense of belonging. It enables them to discover new interests, experience success in different ways and develop aspirations for their future.
