Our Outdoor Learning and Well-being Space

In September 2026, we proudly opened ourutdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space, officially launched by Mr Bloom from CBeebies. This exciting area provides children with opportunities to learn, explore and thrive beyond the classroom walls.

The space has been designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing, encouraging children to be active, curious and connected with the natural world. Through our ‘Earth to Mouth’ growing project, children plant, nurture and harvest seeds, learning first-hand where food comes from and developing a sense of responsibility and pride. Produce grown by the children is used as part of our lunchtime offer, helping them understand the journey from garden to plate.

At the heart of the space is our wildlife pond, which provides a rich habitat for nature and offers opportunities for children to observe, investigate and learn about local ecosystems. The area also includes an outdoor learning den, creating an inspiring environment for storytelling, science investigations, collaborative activities and quiet reflection.

Outdoor learning helps children develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and problem-solving skills while supporting their emotional wellbeing. By spending time outdoors, children can enjoy fresh air, physical activity and meaningful connections with nature, all of which contribute to happier, healthier learners.

Our Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space is a wonderful addition to our school and reflects our commitment to providing enriching experiences that help every child learn, grow and flourish.
